Why Affordability Matters

Homeownership is a cornerstone of household stability, wealth-building, and community resilience. As prices rise faster than incomes, entire segments of the population—seniors, single parents, essential workers, newcomers and first-time buyers—are being permanently excluded from ownership. This exclusion creates long-term social and fiscal costs that are ultimately borne by governments and communities. SBC addresses affordability not through short-term subsidies, but by changing how homes and communities are delivered—reducing costs at the source and preserving affordability over time.

Our Values

Affordability as Essential Infrastructure

Housing affordability is not a niche outcome—it is essential infrastructure for a functioning society. Solutions must be repeatable across regions and resilient to market cycles.

Innovation with Accountability

Innovation must deliver measurable improvements in cost, speed, and quality—not novelty for its own sake. SBC is structured to think in decades, ensuring affordability is preserved as the organization grows.

Dignity, Transparency & Trust

Ownership provides stability, autonomy, and long-term opportunity. SBC operates with clear governance, financial accountability, and alignment with the public interest.
